2) Tigers C Ivan Rodriguez and SS Carlos Guillen both had to leave yesterday’s game, due to knee injuries.
Rodriguez has a bruised knee and is day to day. After 10 RCAA/.895 OPS and 17 RCAA/.843 OPS seasons, he is hitting .514 SLG, .389 OBA, .903 OPS, 30 RCAA in his first 120 games. Rodriguez has a .837 career OPS, compared to his league average of .768, and 113 RCAA in 1743 games.
Guillen has a sprained knee and will have a MRI. 3) Braves P Mike Hampton had to leave yesterday’s game, due to a strained left knee. He had been out of action since August 31, due to a stiff neck.
4) The Mets placed P Matt Ginter on the 60 day DL.
Ginter will have surgery on Monday to remove bone chips from his right ankle.
5) The Mariners called up P Randy Williams.
Williams gave up 2 runs in 2/3 of an inning in his major league debut.
6) Reds P Jung Bong had arthroscopic surgery around his labrum and is expected to be ready for spring training.
Bong has a 5.17 ERA/-9 RSAA in 48 career games, including a 4.70 ERA/-1 RSAA in 3 starts in 2004.
7) Devil Rays P Jesus Colome has inflammation in his shoulder and will probably be shut down for the rest of the season.
After 8.27 ERA/-17 RSAA and 4.50 ERA/0 RSAA seasons, Colome has a 3.27 ERA/5 RSAA in 33 games. He has a 4.73 career ERA, compared to his league average of 4.53, and -6 RSAA in 149 games.
8) Tigers LF Rondell White has a hip injury. The team doesn’t say he’s out for the rest of the season, but he might not play much.
After -18 RCAA/.666 OPS and 11 RCAA/.829 OPS seasons, White is hitting .464 SLG, .344 OBA, .808 OPS, 5 RCAA in 117 games. He has a .815 career OPS, compared to his league average of .772, and 57 RCAA in 1236 games.
