1) Cardinals RF Larry Walker had to leave yesterday’s game, due to a sprained right knee. An MRI showed a small bone bruise and he’s day to day.
After 46 RCAA/1.023 OPS and 24 RCAA/.898 OPS seasons, Walker is hitting .600 SLG, .448 OBA, 1.048 OPS in 62 games (first 38 with the Rockies). He has a .970 career OPS, compared to his league average of .757, and 517 RCAA in 1868 games.
2) Yankees P Kevin Brown had surgery on his broken left hand. He’s expected to miss either 3 weeks or the rest of the season.
3) The Redsox called up P Pedro Astacio and moved P Lenny DiNardo from the 15 to the 60 day DL.
