1) Yankees OF Matt Lawton was suspended for violating MLB’s steroids policy.
Lawton will be a free agent and the suspension will start at the beginning of the 2006 season.

8) According to the Chicago Tribune, the Cubs and free agent to be Rafael Furcal have mutual interest in each other.
