2) According to the Boston Herald, the Red Sox and Indians have agreed in principle to a trade that would send RF Coco Crisp to the Red Sox for Andy Marte and Guillermo Mota, contingent on the Phillies acquiring another CF, with them working on a deal that would sent Arthur Rhodes or Rafael Betancourt to the Phillies for Jason Michaels. According to the Boston Globe, the Red Sox and Indians have spoken more than 70 times and hope to finish a deal within the week.
3) The Braves re-signed P Jorge Sosa to a 1 year, $2.2 million contract, to avoid salary arbitration.

4) The Twins re-signed utilityman Michael Cuddyer to a 1 year, $1.3 million contract, to avoid salary arbitration.
After being the Twins starting 3B in 2005, he’s a candidate for the starting RF job.
