THT Links: Ho-Hum

After a couple days of a lot links, the blogosphere seems to have taken a break today. No matter, since it’s Friday and it’s sunny here in the Bay Area. Have a good weekend, folks, and I’ll be back next Monday with more of the best and most interesting baseball stories from around the nets.

Glimmer of Hope – MLB announced yesterday that it would give other satellite operators a chance to match its deal to put MLB Extra Innings on DirecTV. Basically, they can keep showing it if they also agree to put the new MLB channel on their basic tier. Of course, for the rest of us cable subscribers, well…

Hampton Out – Mike Hampton will be out until at least May with an oblique strain he suffered while taking batting practice. Fantasy players playing in 20-team, NL only leagues with 30 round drafts should update their draft boards. The rest of us will continue not caring.

Thomas Debuts – Frank Thomas made his appearance as a Blue Jay yesterday, going 1-for-3 with an RBI. Check out that and the rest of ESPN’s Grapefruit League roundup.
