NUSBR will be holding a steroids debate at Northwestern University. Here are the exact details: What: Asterisks or No Big Deal? A Debate on Steroids in Professional Baseball Who: Rick Telander, Senior Sports Columnist for the Chicago Sun-Times, former writer for ESPN and SI Bill Savage, Senior Lecturer in English at Northwestern University and SABR […]
Very nice graph by Dave Cameron (I love good graphs) that clearly demonstrates something we all intuitively understand: that pitchers are less likely to throw fastballs to power hitters.
Howard Bryan pens a nice column on the union’s role in the steroids case, or lack thereof. Not that I think we should keep talking about steroids. (Hat tip: BBTF)

AZ Snakepit has posted the second part of his interview with Diamondbacks GM Josh Byrnes.
(Note: Occasionally, the Hardball Times runs guest pieces from its readers. This is one such piece, obviously in response to the latest Alex Rodriguez/steroids revelation. Thanks to Bobby Mueller for his thoughts.) I love baseball. I’ve loved it since I was a little kid. I loved playing it, whether it was making a backhanded stop […]
