Eric J. Seidman reviews Geoff Young’s Ducksnorts Annual. Unsurprisingly, he likes it a lot. Do yourself and the blogging world a favor and purchase the Ducksnorts Annual. It’s good reading—even if you’re not a Padres’ fan—and it’s for a good cause. The PDF version is less than $10.

Two sabermetric darlings, Voros McCracken and Brian Bannister, met each other yesterday and chatted a little bit. This post doesn’t include much about their specific conversation, but it’s fun to read about their encounter. Bannister knew Voros and seemed almost as “starstruck” as Voros was.

Chris at the Fantasy Baseball Mafia has posted a very nice article about oblique strains: what they are and how players are affected by them. Good info for fantasy players, and just plain interesting all around.

Ozzie Guillen is one entertaining dude, but this blog has taken Ozzie entertainment to a new level with his Illustrated History of the Sagacious Don Guillote. Very funny stuff. (Hat tip: South Side Sox).

You don’t have to be a Rangers fan to enjoy reading the Newberg Report—it’s full of good news all baseball fans can enjoy. In his latest Spring Training report, he positively glows about the Rangers’ attack. Talking about Ian Kinsler, Newberg says… In batting practice, he’s showing an ability to hit the ball to right […]

Viva El Birdos reviews the Wainwright deal, along with the rest of the Cardinals’ salary commitments, and finds it a great move by the front office.
