Major League Win Shares have been updated through Thursday’s games. This is interesting: the National League leader is now Chase Utley, while the AL leader is Ichiro. Not unexpected, but not the first players you might think of as league MVP’s. Oops, the All-Star ballots just closed. Oh well.

Zone Ratings for each team, and broken out by infield and outfield, are now available on our Team Statistics Page. These take the place of our old “Plus/Minus” statistics. Zone Ratings are discussed in detail in this article.

Our Win Shares stats have been updated through Friday’s games. There’s a new player now tied for the National League lead in WSAB: Albert Pujols. You may have heard of him. The overall major league leader continues to be Vladimir Guerrero.
