Troy Glaus to Miss Start of Season
Unexpectedly, the St. Louis Cardinals announced yesterday that starting third baseman Troy Glaus underwent right shoulder surgery on Wednesday. Initial reports had said that it was a debridement of his labrum, though it is now being reported that it was not the labrum – rather, it was a debridement of a muscle. He is expected to be out at least 12 weeks, but it could be longer.
