After the last two years of 100+ loss futility, almost anything would be an improvement. As a native Washingtonian, this has been the worst kind of deja vu, reminiscent of the hideous Senators teams of my childhood. But check those 2005 standings. The Nats were in first place for a large chunk of the season.
