6) Yankees 3B Alex Rodriguez set a Yankee Stadium record with 8 HR in the stadium in April, breaking the mark of 5, set by Lou Gehrig (1933) and Paul O’Neill (2001). Rodriguez passed Johnny Bench and tied Graig Nettles for 44th place on the all time HR list, with 390.
After 53 RCAA/.995 OPS and 35 RCAA/.888 OPS seasons, Rodriguez is hitting .618 SLG, .349 OBA, .966 OPS, 8 RCAA in his first 24 games. He has a .955 career OPS, compared to his league average of .774, and 443 RCAA in 1454 games.
1) Bud Selig sent a letter this week to the union proposing a 50 game suspension for a 1st steroid offense, 100 for a 2nd a lifetime ban for a 3rd.
2) Nationals P Zach Day was scratched from yesterday’s start, due to an inner ear infection.
