2) The Redsox called up 1B John Olerud and C Kelly Shoppach, designated C Shawn Wooten for assignment and sent P Jeremi Gonzalez to the minors.

After 41 RCAA/.893 OPS and 2 RCAA/.761 OPS seasons, Olerud hit .374 SLG, .359 OBA, .733 OPS, 0 RCAA in 127 games with the 2004 Mariners and Yankees. He has a .864 career OPS, compared to his league average of .762, and 395 RCAA in 2147 games.

10) The A’s activated Nick Swisher from the DL, called up P Britt Reames, sent OF Matt Watson to the minors and designated utilityman Jermaine Clark for assignment.
