Dave King, formerly of Fire Joe Morgan, “Parks and Recreation” and “Workaholics,” joins the show to talk about the origins of FJM with his friends and fellow comedy writers Michael Schur and Alan Yang, growing up as a Red Sox fan, and writing for “Parks and Recreation.” Included in the latter discussion are some of his favorite memories from the writer’s room of the show, writing the episode with the infamous Cones of Dunshire board game and keeping a show fresh and avoid writing characters into a pigeonholed role. We also talked about writing for “Love,” the new Judd Apatow show that debuts on Netflix on February 19 starring Gillian Jacobs and Paul Rust.

I always spent my half an hour to read this blog’s articles daily along with a mug of coffee.
